 Christian Youth Discipleship is designed for youth in grades 6-12. We meet at the church every Sunday night from 6-8 p.m. We have a time of study, snacks, and fun activities. Please come out and join us.
NOVEMBER 2007 UPDATE Christian Youth Discipleship continues to be a very active group. The highlight for us during the month of October was our trip on the 20th to Cove Valley Christian Youth Camp. We went to the camp for a day of team building exercises on their low and high ropes courses. Through numerous physically and/or mentally challenging activities we had to learn to pull together as a single unit to accomplish the task at hand. At one point during our morning session we had to navigate across a swamp of poison peanut butter infested by pink and purple polka dotted piranhas with pimple problems. As dangerous as that sounds everyone made it safely across. I would have to say that one of the highlights of the afternoon (high ropes) session was one member of our group facing her fear of heights. If you would like to hear more stories from this trip feel free to ask anyone from our group. We hope to soon have some pictures of our recent activities posted on the internet and around our church. So be looking for them. UPCOMING SCHEDULE Nov. 4th we will be playing our hide-and-seek style night games. Nov. 11th board game night. Nov. 16th -17th lock-in Nov. 25th CYD will be hosting the annual hanging of the greens. The entire church is invited to help us decorate our church for the Christmas season. Our traditional soup and pizza will be served for lunch. Dec. 2nd night games Dec. 9th volleyball in the gym Dec. 16th Christmas Party!!! (look for more details in the December edition of The Rainbow.) *We will not meet the last 2 weeks of December so that everyone can have time to get ready for Christmas and spend time with their families during this busy time of year.
